Lighting Up Prestatyn

Artisans Collective will be providing the lantern workshops again today in Prestatyn

Monday 18 November 2013

Preparations  are underway for a day of festive activities in Prestatyn on Saturday 30th November from 12noon - 4pm where Santa will opening his Prestatyn Grotto in Ty Pendre (top of Prestatyn High Street) with his REAL Reindeer, a landtrain will be in use alongside the traditional fairground rides and live music from Prestatyn ATC band and carol singers.

The highlight will be a lantern parade taking place in the High Street with everybody welcome to take part either with their own lanterns or items made in the free lantern workshops that have been previously held and are due to take place again on Saturday 23rd on the High street.

The workshops are being provided by Artisans Collective CIC a local Community Interest Company in conjunction with Prestatyn Town Council. Members of the public can construct their own lantern which will then be fitted with illumination on the day of the parade and will be theirs to keep as a memento of the day.
